Planning a block party in a Douglas County neighborhood

Parker and Castle Rock are HOA country, and most of the neighborhoods out here have a common area, a clubhouse lawn, or a street the town will let you close for an afternoon. That’s usually the first call to make, your HOA or the town, before you book anything. Once the space and the date are settled, the logistics are simpler than a birthday party: no gift table, no cake timing, just enough activity to keep twenty kids from twelve different families occupied at once.

One castle, or two

The weight limit is the number that decides this. Classic Castle holds 800 pounds at a time; Castle with Slide and Castle with Double Water Slide both hold 1,000. For a single family’s birthday that’s rarely the binding constraint. For a block party with kids from a dozen houses cycling through at once, it can be. If your street usually turns out more than a handful of kids under ten, a bigger castle is worth the extra day rate over a smaller one, and the specs for all three are here.

Streets and driveways work fine

We anchor every castle with four to six sandbags rather than stakes, which means asphalt, a driveway, or a school parking lot holds it down just as well as grass does. That matters for a street closure specifically: you’re not trying to drive a stake through pavement, and we’re not asking you to find a patch of dirt. Setup takes 30 to 45 minutes once we’re parked, and we come back the same day to pack it down.

It doesn’t have to be a birthday to book one

The same booking works for a company picnic or an office summer party, which is worth knowing if you’re the one organizing it rather than a neighborhood event. We deliver, set up, anchor and collect the same way regardless of what the event is called, and the day rate doesn’t change because there’s a company logo on the invite instead of a kid’s name.

Where we go without a delivery fee

Parker, Denver, Aurora, Castle Rock, Littleton and Centennial, at no extra charge. Day rates run $100 to $300 for the day, delivered and set up.
